Planned to “lie down for just a few minutes” but napped for 2 hours. Guess I was tired.
First attempt at a twist/cable stitch. I never felt comfortable making the twists, but got better at it by the end. Next project should be easier. 🧶
Furnace stopped making hot air. Thankfully, we have a fireplace and YouTube. Furnace is now making hot air, and the rooms of the house without fireplaces are cozy again. It feels good when I fix something in my own house.
📚this has been in my lap much of the afternoon. Cut open pictures of lots of electronics components. There is even a chapter at the end all about how they cut open the chips and staged the shots.
Christmas in the age of COVID when only one of the family is positive and has to participate from the next room.
Spending time this morning writing a backstory for one of my Skyrim characters with ChatGPT. It seems to know the Skyrim world but keeps misusing names and places from Tamriel. It also has a lot of word salad, just padding paragraphs with catch phrases and repetition.
It’s fun to complain about the incessant tech-help requests I get from family members when we get together for the holidays. But deep down, I feel pride and love that I can help them out and fix things that caused them grief.
It’s not healthy by any stretch, but mix all of these together to make my most powerful comfort food.
A little after 10 PM it will be 22:22:22 on 2/2/22. My mother always called me when things like this happened and we would celebrate. I miss her. So, maybe you can take a pause and say “woo hoo” when you notice the event and think about someone you celebrate little, silly things with.
